     Albert Alfred Parkes was married to Nellie Maria Drewery on Sunday, 3 September 1905 at St. Stephen's Church, Selly Hill, Kings Norton, Worcestershire, After Banns. Witnessed by Arthur Edwin Parkes and Beatrice Parkes.6
     In between 1915 and 1918 Albert Alfred Parkes served in the Army, he was wounded in his hand. During WWII, he was in the Home Guard.7

     Albert Alfred Parkes, son of Alfred Parkes and Georgiana Needham, died on Sunday, 3 June 1962, in 17 Hazlewell Lane, Stirchley, Kings Norton, Worcestershire, Birmingham,"aged 80 years, Cause of Death - Coronary Thrombosis, Arteriosclerosis, Acute Bronchitis", he was survived by his wife Nellie Maria Parkes.8,9 Albert Alfred Parkes was Cremated in Lodge Hill Crematorium, Birmingham, Warwickshire, on Wednesday, 6 June 1962.10 His Funeral took place in Ascension Church, Stirchley, on 6 June 1962.      Probate for his Estate was granted on 15 October 1956 in Birmingham, Warwickshire. Fred and Solicitor, Herbert Wm. Wilkes were Executors of his Will. "2,789 gross, £2,717 net".
