     The said James Smith of this Parish of Dalbury and Hannah Walters of the Parish of Dalbury were Married in this Church by Banns this 2nd. day of February 1778.
     Both Signed the Register and were Witnessed by Isaac Spencer and John Maddock."1

     James Smith, son of William Smith and Martha, died in August 1799, in Dalbury, Derbyshire, he was survived by his wife Hannah Walters.1
