     The 1911 U.K.Census  listed her as a daughter of the Head of Household - Rose Kate Harris, at 126 Lawrence Avenue, Manor Park, Essex, who is recorded as -

     Margaret's entry for the 1911 Census was recorded as -

     At some time before her Marriage in 1926, she used the surname of GILBERT. (this information has been taken from her Marriage Certificate where her father is stated to be George Edward GILBERT.)3

     Margaret was sometime known as Margaret Amy Gilbert.

     Margaret Amy Gilbert, daughter of Rose Kate Harris, was married to William Ernest Brooks, son of William John Brooks and Minnie Adamson, on Saturday, 25 December 1926 at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Ilford Parva, Essex.
     The details from the Marriage Certificate are - Entry #287 - William Ernest Brooks, aged 21 years, a Bachelor, a Fitter & Turner of 31 Ashford Road, East Ham. Son of William John Brooks, a Fitter & Turner was Married after Banns to Margaret Amy Gilbert, aged 20 years, a Spinster of 126 Lawrence Avenue. Daughter of Georege Edward Gilbert, a Checker on Great Eastern Railway.4

          The U.K. 1939 Registration for England & Wales of 29 September 1939 listed her with William Ernest Brooks, at 'Argyle', Rothbury Avenue, Hornchurch, Essex, who is recorded as - William E. Brooks;     DoB - 8 January 1905     Male;     Metal Turner     Married.5

     Margaret's entry for the U.K. 1939 Registration for England & Wales was recorded as -
          Margaret Amy Brooks;     DoB - 9 June 1906     Female;     Unpaid Domestic Duties     Married.6

     Margaret Amy Brooks was left a Widow at the age of 47, on the death of her husband, William on 16 February 1954 in the General Infirmary, Leeds, Yorkshire.

     Margaret Amy Brooks, daughter of Rose Kate Harris, died in February 1998 in Lincolnshire, her Death was Registered at the Sleaford Register Office in the February of 1998.7
