     The U.K.Census of 2 April 1871 listed her as a Servant to the Head of Household of James Riley, at Windy Way Cross, Cotton, Staffordshire, who is recorded as -
          James Riley     Head     Married     42     Farmer of 54 acres     STS. Alton.3
     Ellen's entry for the 1871 Census was recorded as -
          Ellen Riley     Servant     Unmarried     10     Domestic Servant     STS. Alton.3
