After Percy's military service, I believe that he went thorough a very bad period.
Searches for more information about his whereabouts have shown probable 'visits' to Institutions and establishments for assistance. However, an entry for a Percy Jackson, born in Derby could place him in 1911.7

In the U.K.Census of 2 April 1911, Percy was recorded as residing at the Salvation Army City Colony, Dunlop Place, Bermondsey, London.
     Percy's listing is -

(The purpose of The Salvation Army City Colony in Dunlop Place, Bermondsey is described in his book, where William Booth outlined a new "social scheme" which outlined a number of practical ways that the poor could be helped. Booth proposed three types of community or "colony" be created:
The City Colony — to "gather up the poor destitute creatures, supply their immediate pressing necessities, furnish temporary employment, inspire them with hope for the future, and commence at once a course of regeneration by moral and religious influences.")7

Attestation of 59074 Percy Jackson for the Royal Garrison Artillery at London Whitehall on 20 September 1915.
Percy Jackson of 122 New North Road, London N. stated that he was a British Subject and was 36 years old, employed as a Painter. (it is interesting that in answer to Q7. he stated that he had not previously served in the Military.)
He took the Oath and signed, which was Certified by the Approving Officer.
