     Joseph Housley, son of Hugh Housley and Anne Taylor, was married to Elizabeth Webster on Tuesday, 20 June 1758 at St. Giles' Church, Hartington, Derbyshire.
     St. Giles' Church Marriage Register - "Entry #40 - Banns of Marriage between Joseph Housley and Elizabeth Webster were Published on the 4th; 11th; & 18th June 1758.
     Joseph Housley of this Parish, Husbandman and the said Elizabeth Webster of this Parish, Spinster. Married in this Church by Banns this 20th June in the Year 1758.
     Joseph Signed the Register and Elizabeth made her X Mark.
     Witnessed by Samuel Housley and George Webster."3,4

     Joseph lived at Ludwall and later at Custardfields, Monyash where he is described as 'a Husbandman' at the Baptisms of his children.4


     Joseph Housley, son of Hugh Housley and Anne Taylor, died in February 1801, he was survived by his wife Elizabeth Housley nee Webster.3

     He was buried in St. Leonard's Parish Church, Monyash on Wednesday, 11 February 1801.
