     St. Oswald's Church Marriage Register - "Charles Edward Hill, 25, Bachelor, Bricklayer of Old Hill, son of George Hill, Builder & Hannah Bull, 21, Spinster, Domestic Servant of King Street, daughter of Thomas Bull, Sawyer. By Banns. Witnessed by John Hill and Selina Bull."1

          In the 1901 U.K.Census, held on Sunday, 31 March 1901, Charles was recorded as the Head of the Household at Old Derby Road, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, also in the Household were Hannah Hill, George E. Hill, Thomas F. Hill and Leslie De Foister Hill,
