Relationship10th great-granddaughter of my Top of Tree Bull
Bethia Bull, daughter of William Bull and Bethiah Hawksworth, was born in Rodsley, Derbyshire, in March 1841.1

The U.K.Census of 6 June 1841 listed her in the Household of William Bull, at Rodsley, Derbyshire, who is listed as -
     William Bull     35     Joiner     Yes.2
Bethia's entry for the 1841 Census was recorded as -
          Bathia Bull     3m     ---     Yes.2

The 1851 U.K.Census  listed her as a daughter of the Head of Household - William Bull, at Rodsley Hamlet, Derbyshire, who is recorded as -
William Bull     Head     Married     46     Carpenter     DBY. Cubley.3
Bethia's entry for the 1851 Census was recorded as -
          Bethia Bull     Daughter     10     ---     DBY. Rodsley.3

In the U.K.Census of 2 April 1871, Bethia was recorded as residing at Station Street, Clifton, Derbyshire.
     Bethia's listing is -
Bertha Bull     Boarder     Unmarried     31     Hawker     WAR. Birmingham (in the household of Ellen Gallimore, Widow 72, Hawker     DBY. Ashbourne).4

I suggest that the Census Entry has been wrongly compiled. It is probable that the place of Birth column has been incorrectly entered. The image of the page shows that in Sch.: 187 Ellen Gallimore is from Ashbourne, however Gallimore is a Cheshire name and the entry of the previous line shows that the listed person is from Cheshire. I therefore speculate that the entry lines have 'slipped', this would make Bertha (Bathia) Bull come from Ashbourne which is more correct. A subsequent check of the Census of 1861 does actually show an Ellen Gallimore living in Clifton, and is stated to be of Ashbourne, so my hypothisis may not be correct. The hunt for Bathia Bull in 1861 continues, (October 2019).
In the 1851 Census at Old Hill, Ashbourne, an Ellen Gallimore is listed as having been born in Nantwich, Cheshire and is Married to Francis GALLIMORE, a Labourer, 'of Ashbourne.5'
