     James Tipper, son of Robert Tipper and Fanny Grant, was married to Emma Kenney in Leicester, Leicestershire, in 1914.
     Their Marriage was recorded in the Leicester Registration District in the Oct-Nov-Dec Quarter of 1914.9

     James is positively the only candidate for the gentleman on the 1901 and 1911 Censuses; it would appear that Emma was only his Common Law wife at the time, and perhaps he was inventive also as regards his age vis-a-vis the Census Enumerator and possibly Emma as well, his brother Robert was equally optimistic in the age he ascribes himself in his later years.10


     James Tipper, son of Robert Tipper and Fanny Grant, died in 1923 in Leicestershire, his Death was Registered at the Leicester Register Office in the Jan-Feb-Mar Quarter of 1923, He was survived by his wife, Emma.11
