Thomas Bull, son of John Bull and Mary Goodall, died on Friday, 27 February 1835, in Derby, Derbyshire,"aged 85 years."3 Thomas Bull was buried in St. Michael's Church, Kirk Langley, Derbyshire, on Monday, 2 March 1835.

(Limestone Headstone.)4

It has been brought to my attention that there is no "PROOF" that this Thomas Bull and Mary Keeling, married in Cubley, are in fact the same people who are listed in the Parish Records at Kirk Langley.
The logic used here to make them as one family is that there are no other "probable" Thomas and Mary Bull couples in the area within a 20 year period.
There is no overlap of children's birth / baptism place, the appearance / baptism of children is within the usual ages for childbearing and no confusion found in the dates of 'Child of Thomas and Mary BULL' with any others couples in the district.
The location of the parishes of Cubley; Norbury and Kirk Langley are sufficiently close as to present no problem of distance for anyone, given the quality of the major roads and tracks in this area at the end of the 18C. Using the Roman road of Long Lane, Kirk Langley is only 10 miles from Cubley, only some 4 hours walk away today or 200 years ago I would think.5

Mary Keeling1

ID# 11798, born 1748, died 7 December 1815
Father*Henry Keeling born say 1690
Mother*Elizabeth England born say 1698
Mary Keeling, daughter of Henry Keeling and Elizabeth England, was born in 1748.1
She was Baptised on Friday, 23 May 1749.2

Mary Keeling was married to Thomas Bull on Wednesday, 20 July 1774 at St. Andrew's Church, Cubley, Derbyshire, Thomas Bull and Mary Keeling, Both of this Parish, were Married.1

Mary Bull nee Keeling, daughter of Henry Keeling and Elizabeth England, died on Thursday, 7 December 1815,"aged 67 years", she was survived by her husband Thomas Bull. Mary Bull nee Keeling was buried in St. Michael's Church, Kirk Langley, Derbyshire, on Sunday, 10 December 1815.
Monumental Inscription - In memory of/ MARY Wife of THOMAS BULL/ who departed this life Dec. 7th/ 1815 in the 67 year of her Age/ Also THOMAS BULL/ Died February 27th 1835/ Aged 81 years/ Mourn not for me my children dear:/ I brought you up with toil and care/ Suddenly was called from here/ A grief to all my children dear:/ But soon will mingle in the dust/ In hopes to rise among the just. (Limestone Headstone.)3

Using the Roman road of Long Lane, Kirk Langley is only 10 miles from Cubley, only some 4 hours walk away today or 200 years ago I would think.4
