William Tipper wrote his Will in 1834; A probate copy of William's Will, made on 15 April 1834 is held at the Matlock Records Office. It refers to -
"All my Freehold and Copyhold Messuages, Farm, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments situated in Ashleyhay, now or late in the tenure or occupation of Samuel Greatorex and William Greatorex or others... Also Copyhold Lands commonly known as Kings Fields in the Township of Wirksworth now or late in my own occupation... Also copyhold Messuage or tenement now divided and occupied as a Grocer's and Cordwainer's Houses and Shops now or late in the tenure or occupation of my son Joseph Tipper and Timothy Clark situated near the Market Place, Wirksworth."
These and his other assetts are passed to his trustees, the property to be sold. £400 is to be invested to pay interest to his wife Martha in her lifetime, unless she remarries. She is also willed all his farming stock, household furniture and personal effects. The residue to be divided amongst his five children William, Joseph, Martha, Mary and Elizabeth. After his wife's death or remarriage, of the £400, his son William receives £100 and the balance is to be divided equally amongst William and his four siblings. The tenet right of the farm he occupies under George Greaves Esq. is passed to his wife and after to his son William. The Executors: Joseph Bowmer of Wigwell, Yeoman and Gill Pickard of Wirksworth, Glazier.4
William Tipper, son of William Tipper and Martha Greatorex, died in December 1837 in Hurst Farm, Wirksworth, Derbyshire, his Death was Registered at the Belper Register Office in the Oct-Nov-Dec Quarter of 1837, He was survived by his wife, Martha.5,6
He was buried at Wirksworth, Derbyshire, on Monday, 25 December 1837.

Obituary was printed in the in Derby Mercury. "On Thursday, the 21st instant at the Hurst Farm, Wirksworth, after a protracted illness, Mr William Tipper, aged 75; he was a man generally respected by the surrounding neighbourhood."8
ASHLEYHAY, a village and township in the parish of Wirksworth, constabulary of Alderwasley and hundred of Appletree, 1 m. S. E. from Wirksworth. It contains 52 houses, 52 families and 223 inhabitants, chiefly employed in agriculture. This township is well watered by the river Ecclesbourne and numerous springs; it consists of 1400 a. 2 r. 9 p. of gritstone land, divided among 39 freeholders, the principal of whom are Francis Hurt, esq. Miss Toplis, Malvcysin Chadwick, esq. G. B. Strutt, esq. Mr. Joseph Taylor, Mr. John and Mr. Thomas Spendlove, Mr. Samuel Dean, Mr. Richard Spencer, Mr. John Wolley, Rev. Richard Whinfield, in right of the vicarage of Heanor, Mr. Richard Longdon, Mr. William Malin, Mr. William Tipper, Mr. Philip Yeomans, Mr. William Pidcock, &c. About one-fourth of the land is arable, the other three-fourths meadow and pasture. The estimated annual value of the buildings and land is £1533; the average of 7 years' poor, church, constable and county rates is £210. per annum. The highways are done by statute duty. The tithes are the property of the Dean of Lincoln. G. II. Errington, esq. is the lessee, who re-lets them to Francis Hurt, esq. There is a Wesleyan Methodist chapel in this village. This township is part of the manor of Alderwasley, and Francis Hurt, esq. is lord. There is considerable copyhold property within this manor, and which is held of the lord at an uncertain fine. ......the said William Tipper by the description of William Tipper the Elder duly made and published his last will and testament in writing and bearing the date the 15th day of April 1835 (or 14th April 1834 depending which page read further back!) gave and devised unto his executors Joseph Bowmer of Wigwell Yeoman and Gill Richard of Wirksworth Glazier.....All the freehold and copyhold messuages farms lands tenements and hereditaments with their appurtenances in Ashleyhay .
.......called or known as Adam’s Farm in the Park but then divided into eight parts or closes and called or known by the names of the Big Park Little Park ? Hill Side the Park Piece the Daisy Close the Meadow or Long Pingle the Little End down to the Gate and the Pingle and containing by estimation twenty acres or thereabouts.
The Index states the name Brown as Admitted, but I’m pretty sure it’s Bowmer in the text.

William Tipper wrote his Will in 1834; A probate copy of William's Will, made on 15 April 1834 is held at the Matlock Records Office. It refers to -
"All my Freehold and Copyhold Messuages, Farm, Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments situated in Ashleyhay, now or late in the tenure or occupation of Samuel Greatorex and William Greatorex or others... Also Copyhold Lands commonly known as Kings Fields in the Township of Wirksworth now or late in my own occupation... Also copyhold Messuage or tenement now divided and occupied as a Grocer's and Cordwainer's Houses and Shops now or late in the tenure or occupation of my son Joseph Tipper and Timothy Clark situated near the Market Place, Wirksworth."
These and his other assetts are passed to his trustees, the property to be sold. £400 is to be invested to pay interest to his wife Martha in her lifetime, unless she remarries. She is also willed all his farming stock, household furniture and personal effects. The residue to be divided amongst his five children William, Joseph, Martha, Mary and Elizabeth. After his wife's death or remarriage, of the £400, his son William receives £100 and the balance is to be divided equally amongst William and his four siblings. The tenet right of the farm he occupies under George Greaves Esq. is passed to his wife and after to his son William. The Executors: Joseph Bowmer of Wigwell, Yeoman and Gill Pickard of Wirksworth, Glazier.4
William Tipper, son of William Tipper and Martha Greatorex, died in December 1837 in Hurst Farm, Wirksworth, Derbyshire, his Death was Registered at the Belper Register Office in the Oct-Nov-Dec Quarter of 1837, He was survived by his wife, Martha.5,6
He was buried at Wirksworth, Derbyshire, on Monday, 25 December 1837.
Cemetery Register Entry - #139 - of Hurst Farm, died age 75.7
Obituary was printed in the in Derby Mercury. "On Thursday, the 21st instant at the Hurst Farm, Wirksworth, after a protracted illness, Mr William Tipper, aged 75; he was a man generally respected by the surrounding neighbourhood."8

It contains 52 houses, 52 families and 223 inhabitants, chiefly employed in agriculture. This township is well watered by the river Ecclesbourne and numerous springs; it consists of 1400 a. 2 r. 9 p. of gritstone land, divided among 39 freeholders, the principal of whom are Francis Hurt, esq. Miss Toplis, Malvcysin Chadwick, esq. G. B. Strutt, esq. Mr. Joseph Taylor, Mr. John and Mr. Thomas Spendlove, Mr. Samuel Dean, Mr. Richard Spencer, Mr. John Wolley, Rev. Richard Whinfield, in right of the vicarage of Heanor, Mr. Richard Longdon, Mr. William Malin, Mr. William Tipper, Mr. Philip Yeomans, Mr. William Pidcock, &c. About one-fourth of the land is arable, the other three-fourths meadow and pasture. The estimated annual value of the buildings and land is £1533; the average of 7 years' poor, church, constable and county rates is £210. per annum. The highways are done by statute duty. The tithes are the property of the Dean of Lincoln. G. II. Errington, esq. is the lessee, who re-lets them to Francis Hurt, esq. There is a Wesleyan Methodist chapel in this village. This township is part of the manor of Alderwasley, and Francis Hurt, esq. is lord. There is considerable copyhold property within this manor, and which is held of the lord at an uncertain fine.
