Gran's 'friend' was Geneva Smith bn. 1889. Dad could remember going to visit and seeing Joseph with a milk yoke on his shoulders.

a search for a marriage for Geneva and subsequent family have been recorded.7

     The old cross-country skier, ferrier, fire fighter, fisherman, guide outfitter, horse doctor, hunter, packer, teamster, wrangler - and "the best boilermaker in the country". He worked for Cominco. Ken was the last survivor of the Tipper family hailing from Yahk, British Columbia - he was the youngest of 7 children.1
