     In the U.K.Census of 2 April 1871, Martha was recorded as residing at Ludgate Street, Tutbury, Staffordshire.

     Martha Tipper, daughter of William Jackson and Elizabeth Winfield, died in December 1914 in Tutbury, Staffordshire, her Death was Registered at the Burton Register Office in the Oct-Nov-Dec Quarter of 1914, She was survived by her husband, Charles.10

     She was buried in St. Mary's Church, Tutbury on Wednesday, 23 December 1914.5

     Charles' and Martha's graves appear to be unmarked, and are not listed on the Tutbury Graveyard Mapping.11

          Between 1882 and 1891 Charles and Martha Tipper were settled in Tutbury and established Chris Tipper's Family Tree there - they had 8 surviving children plus 1 infant death son; probably 48 grandchildren and approximately 100 great grandchildren.
     Martha would have been permanently pregnant or nursing through this period.12

     The details from the Birth Certificate are - Emma Tipper daughter of Charles Tipper, an Agricultural Labourer of Hanbury (signed with his X Mark), mother was given as "Martha Tipper formerly Jackson."
     She was usually referred to as Bertha by family members but all records are in the name of Emma (Elizabeth.)1,2,3

     Charles and Martha were not actually married until two and a half years later, and were not living together in 1881.
     Family memory records that she was known as Bertha or Berth, but all records are in the name of Emma (Elizabeth.)4

     Frederick Henry Tipper, son of Charles Tipper and Martha Jackson, was married to Annie Yates, daughter of Sarah Martha Yates, in The Register Office, Burton, Staffordshire, on Saturday, 14 October 1905.
     Their Marriage was recorded in the Burton Registration District in the Oct-Nov-Dec Quarter of 1905.5

     Frederick Henry Tipper had seven children, brought up firstly in a two bedroomed cottage in Ludgate Street and later from 1931 in a new Council House at 21 Park Lane - see Edna Tipper's "Lambs Tail Pie and a Pennyworth of Stales" for a description of those times.6

          In the 1911 U.K.Census, held on Sunday, 2 April 1911, Frederick was recorded as the Head of the Household at 19 Ludgate Street, Tutbury, Staffordshire, also in the Household were Annie Tipper, John William Tipper, Horace Edwin Tipper, Mildred Annie Tipper and Selina Yates,

     In 1915 Frederick Henry Tipper served in 6th North Staffs Regiment on the Western Front; suffered from gassing, which affected his health for the rest of his life.6
     In 1919 he served in the "Pioneer Corps" - labour force; WW1 Medal Card refers to Frederick Tipper, Private, North Staffs Regiment, No. 204717, Victory and War Medals, and Fred'k Tipper, Private, Labour Corps (Nottingham), No. 644394, Silver War Badge [awarded to those discharged because of wounds or illness].6

     In 1920 Frederick was a witness to the marriage in Tutbury 04.02.1920 of Hannah Jackson, Annie's half-sister (PR), and in 1922 he was a witness to the remarriage in Tutbury 22.12.1922 of Emma Broughton nee Jackson, Annie's half-sister (PR).
From 1920-42 he worked variously as a Farm, Building and General Labourer, and latterly as a Teazer at Webb & Corbett's Tutbury Glassworks.
In 1944 Frederick was a survivor of the Fauld explosion, whilst working underground as guard of an ammunition train; he did not work again after this.6

          In the 1939 Registration, held on 29 September 1939, Frederick Henry Tipper was recorded as the first person in the 5 person Household at 21 Park Lane, Tutbury, Staffordshire. Also in the Household were Annie Tipper, Gwendoline Tipper and Derrick Tipper plus 1 officially closed record,
     the listing for the Household is -

     He was buried in The Churchyard, Tutbury in January 1951.
