Noteentry in the 1881 Census is 'struck through', I make the assumption that she was not well and was probably actually away from home. It should be noted that in the 1891 Census there is a note under her husband's entry that says 'wife away'. I have not been able to locate a recording of her Death from 1891 onwards. It is very probable that she was at Pastures Hospital in Mickleover, further research here might be productive...
