     Beatrice Ellen Thorpe, daughter of Charles Thorpe and Elizabeth Jane Keylock, was married to John Marvill, son of Arthur Hall Marvill and Mary Cripwell, in Derby, Derbyshire, in 1916.
     Their Marriage was recorded in the Derby Registration District in the Jan-Feb-Mar Quarter of 1916.4      It should be noted that the entry in the GRO Index shows John Marvill marrying Beatrice E. SIMMS or BONNINGTON. Their son Jack, born in Q3 1916 is shown as mother = THORPE. There is a Marriage in Q3 1909 of a Beatrice Ellen THORPE to John Henry SIMMS, so that is probably her first Marriage.

     Beatrice Ellen Marvill was left a Widow at the age of 29, on the death of her husband, John on 12 December 1917.
