      "No Baptism has been located, but is brother to James and John Tipper per James' 1755 Will and therefore Thomas is a child of Thomas and Mary nee Lane."1

     Thomas Tipper was a Beneficiary of the Will of James Tipper; Probate granted on 7 November 1755, signed, is held by Lichfield Records Office, and describes him as a Yeoman of Walton-on-Trent; he leaves 1/- to each of his brother Thomas, his nephews John, Thomas and James the sons of Thomas and to his nephews Thomas and James, the sons of his deceased brother, John; his remaining estate is left to his wife Elizabeth.4

     Thomas Tipper was left a Widower on the death of his wife, Mary in April 1773 in Cittles, Staffordshire.5,3

     Thomas Tipper, son of Thomas Tipper and Mary Lane, died in September 1773, in Cittles, Staffordshire.6,3

     He was buried in All Saints Church, Alrewas on Saturday, 18 September 1773.6

     [On the current (2013) Ordnance Survey 25000 map, Sittles is an isolated cluster of buildings three kilometres south of Alrewas on the gravel flats of the River Tame - probably a farm and cottages in the 18th century. Today there is a small private airfield, attached to a working farm. See PHOTO of a deserted house and windsock on www.geolocations.ws (Google)]. Thomas and Mary's descendants remain settled in the Alrewas/Yoxhall area for five generations, engaged in farming, but then the line appears to die out.1
