     James Warrillow was married to Sarah Tipper, daughter of John Swindells Tipper and Mary Rigley, on Monday, 20 July 1863 at St. Giles Church, Cheadle, Staffordshire.
     St. Giles Church Marriage Register - "Sarah Tipper, Spinster aged 20 of Cheadle, daughter of John Swindells Tipper, Saddler was Married to James Warrilow, Bachelor aged 21, a Butcher of Hanley, son of Joseph Warrilow, Butcher. Both Signed."1

          In the 1871 U.K.Census, held on Sunday, 2 April 1871, James was recorded as the Head of the Household at 2 High Street, Hanley, Staffordshire, also in the Household were Sarah Warrillow and Mary Ann Warrillow plus 4 male and 2 female servants,

James Warrillow was listed as a co-Executor of the Will of Mary Tipper, which was Proved and Probate granted on the Estate on 5 March 1877 at the Principal Registry; Effects under £450.
The Will with a Codicil of Mary Tipper late of Cheadle in the County of Stafford, Widow, who died 26 January 1877 at Cheadle, was proved at the Principal Registry by James Warrilow of Hanley in the said County, Innkeeper and Edward Mellor Bloor of Litley in the Parish of Cheadle, Farmer, the Executors.3

          In the 1881 U.K.Census, held on Sunday, 3 April 1881, James was recorded as the Head of the Household at Grove Lodge, Snow Hill, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, also in the Household were Sarah Warrillow, Mary Ann Warrillow, Joseph Warrillow, James Warrillow, John Percy Warrillow, Edward Octavius Warrillow, Dagmar Geraldine Warrillow, Lillian May Warrillow, Gwendoline Hammersley S. Warrillow and Exmas Hyacinthe Stewart Warrillow plus a housekeeper and 2 domestic servants,
