Ann Tipper was married to John Mountford on Tuesday, 3 March 1829 at Bucknall cum Bagnall, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.3

The U.K.Census of 6 June 1841 listed her in the Household of Samuel Tipper, at Tape Street, Checkley, Staffordshire, who is listed as -
Samuel Tipper     40     Saddler & Inn Keeper     Yes.4
Ann's entry for the 1841 Census was recorded as -
          Anne Tipper     35     Ind.     Yes.4

The U.K.Census of 30 March 1851 listed her as a Sister of the Head of Household - Samuel Tipper, at High Street, Checkley, Staffordshire, who is recorded as -
Samuel Tipper     Head     Unmarried     58     Saddler     STS. Cheadle.5

She was buried at Cheadle, Staffordshire, on Tuesday, 17 September 1878.
Cemetery Register Entry - Ann Tipper of Upper Tean, was Buried.1

In the 1851 it is believed that Ann has been given the wrong Surname and Marital Condition. We believe that it should have been entered as Ann Tipper Sister Unmarried     55 --- STS. Cheadle, this would fit better with other Census Returns in which she appears. Although we make the assumption that Ann had been married to John Mountford, had John died? did the marriage not work out? and did Ann revert to her maiden name.9

The Marriage details to John Mountford are correct but not confirmed that the Bride is 'our' Ann. It is a fact though that 'our' Ann had 2 siblings who married in Bucknall and therefore the degree of probability is high.
