     Kathleen Olive Tipper, daughter of John Tipper and Mary Elizabeth Frost, was born in 7 Burr Lane, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, on Sunday, 25 July 1915, her Birth was Registered at the Basford Register Office in the Jul-Aug-Sep Quarter of 1915.1,2

     Kathleen worked at Greaves' Furniture Shop in Clay Cross, in the Accounts and Cashier's Office, before keeping house for her parents between 1925 and 1934.3

          The U.K. 1939 Registration for England & Wales of 29 September 1939 listed her with John Tipper, at Bean Site, Ashover Road, Clay Cross U.D., Derbyshire, who is recorded as - John Tipper;     DoB - 11 January 1878     Male;     Police Inspector - Retired     Married.4

     Kathleen's entry for the U.K. 1939 Registration for England & Wales was recorded as -
          Kathleen Tipper;     DoB - 25 July 1915     Female;     Unpaid Domestic     Single.5

     She joined the WAAF, serving in the Accounts departments at RAF stations - Bridgenorth, Penarth, Leicester, Finningley and Silverstone in 1941.3

     Kathleen returned home to Old Tupton, eventually opening a ladies hairdressing salon in Wingerworth in 1946.3

     She was living in Alicante, Spain with her married daughter in 1997.3
