     Sarah Hill, daughter of Charles Hill, was born in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, about 1816.2


     Sarah Hill, daughter of Charles Hill, was married to Hamlet Tittensor, son of Joseph Tittensor and Elizabeth, in St. George's Church, Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, in 1839.
     Their Marriage was recorded in the Newcastle under Lyme Registration District in the Apr-May-Jun Quarter of 1839.3

          The U.K.Census of 6 June 1841 listed her in the Household of Charles Hill, at 54 Ireland ("Higherland"), Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, who is listed as -

     The 1891 U.K.Census listed her as the Wife of the Head of Household - James Clifton, at 7 Redoubt Street, Radford, Nottinghamshire, who is recorded as -

     Emma's entry for the 1891 Census was recorded as -
          Emma Clifton     Wife     Married     32     Silk Winder     CHS. Congleton.6

     Emma Clifton, daughter of Elizabeth Tittensor, died between 1891 and 1901,"Her husband is described as 'Widower' in the 1901 Census, no record has been found of the Death Registration", she was survived by her husband James Clifton.
