     James Tipper has not been located in the UK Census of 3 April 1881.⁶

     James Tipper, son of John Ward Tipper and Charlotte, was married to Margaret Caughtry in Birmingham, Warwickshire, in 1886.
     Their Marriage was recorded in the Birmingham Registration District in the Apr-May-Jun Quarter of 1886.⁷

          In the 1891 U.K.Census, held on Sunday, 5 April 1891, James was recorded as a Lodger in the Household at Common Lodging House, 94 Old Street, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, also in the Household were Margaret Tipper and John James Tipper,

     Sherratt Tipper, son of Sherratt Tipper and Eliza Fowler, was born in Yorkshire in 1875, his Birth was Registered at the Sheffield Register Office in the Jul-Aug-Sep Quarter of 1875.¹

     Sherratt's Death was Registered at the Sheffield Register Office in the Jan-Feb-Mar Quarter of 1879.²

     Sherratt Tipper, son of Sherratt Tipper and Eliza Fowler, was born in Lancashire in 1883, his Birth was Registered at the Prestwich Register Office in the Jan-Feb-Mar Quarter of 1883.¹

     Sherratt Tipper, son of Sherratt Tipper and Eliza Fowler, died in 1884 in Lancashire, his Death was Registered at the Manchester Register Office in the Jan-Feb-Mar Quarter of 1884.²

     Eliza Tipper, daughter of Sherratt Tipper and Eliza Fowler, was born in Kimberworth, Yorkshire, in 1873.¹


     The 1881 U.K.Census  listed her as a daughter of the Head of Household - Sherratt Tipper, at 40 Peaches Lane, Kimberworth, Rotherham, Yorkshire, who is recorded as -

     Eliza's entry for the 1881 Census was recorded as -

     The 1891 U.K.Census  listed her as a daughter of the Head of Household - Sherratt Tipper, at 5 Alder Street, Manchester, Lancashire, who is recorded as -

     Eliza's entry for the 1891 Census was recorded as -
          Eliza Tipper     Daughter     Single     18     ---     YKS. Rotherham.³

     Eliza Tipper, daughter of Sherratt Tipper and Eliza Fowler, was married to John Henry Swettenham in Manchester, Lancashire, in 1893.
     Their Marriage was recorded in the Manchester Registration District in the Jul-Aug-Sep Quarter of 1893.⁴

     The 1901 U.K.Census listed her as the Wife of the Head of Household - John Henry Swettenham, at the Queen's Arms, 161 Queens Road, Manchester, Lancashire, who is recorded as -

     Eliza's entry for the 1901 Census was recorded as -
          Eliza Swettenham     Wife     Married     28     ---     LAN. Manchester(sic.)⁵

     Whilst the 1901 Census indictaes that Eliza Swettenham was born in Manchester, Lancashire, I believe that this is a transposition error on the part of the enumerator with the details for her husband, John, who was born in Manchester.
