     It is my opinion that the following Marriage details are what 'actually took place'. The entry recorded in FreeBMD shows that a 'George' Tipper was Married to Emma 'Forister'.
I have also used the 'FORRESTER' spelling of their surname in identifying the family although the spelling does vary in several documents. In the transcriptions I have entered as spelled.1

     Emma Forrester, daughter of John Forrester and Dorothy Hains, was married to John Tipper, son of George Tipper and Dorothy Hammersley, on Saturday, 15 September 1838 at St. Giles' Church, Cheadle, Staffordshire.
     St. Giles' Church Marriage Register Entry - "John Tipper, a Bachelor of Full Age, a Wire Drawer of Oakamoor, son of George Tipper, an Overlooker at a Brass Works was Married to Emma Forister, a Spinster of Full Age of Old Furnace, daughter of John Forister, a Wire Drawer. Witnessed by William Tipper."2,3,4

          The U.K.Census of 6 June 1841 listed her in the Household of John Forrester, at Old Furnace, Cheadle, Staffordshire, who is listed as -
