     St. Giles' Church Baptismal Register Entry - "Mary Badderley, the first child of George Badderley and Ann nee Tipper, was Baptised."1

     Mary Badderley was a Beneficiary of the Will of Richard Tipper written on 5 December 1737;      Richard Tipper, Husbandman of Cheadle wrote this Will and signed with his mark. (Executors were William Tipper and John Holmes).
     He bequethed as follows:
- "to my son William and my daughter Elizabeth - enough to make them up with what I have already given them to the value of £10 equally apiece";
- "to my son Daniel - the money due upon Mr Challoner's Bond";
- "to my son Richard, possession of the house, paying £5 to the estate a year after his mother Mary's death";
- "to my dearly beloved wife Mary, the use of the house and chattels for life";
- "the residue of the estate to be divided equally between my son William Tipper, my daughter Elizabeth Chapman, my son Daniel Tipper and George Baddeley's daughter Mary".2

      Staffordshire Marriage Allegations & Bonds; 1636 - 1893 - "Joseph Lovatt, aged 20 years, a Bachellor and Farmer of Dinycote, Staffordshire and Mary Baddeley, aged 19 years, a Spinster of Cheadle made a Marriage Allegation and Bond to be Married at St. Margaret's Church, Draycott-le-Moors on 13 June 1755."3

     Mary Badderley, daughter of George Badderley and Ann Tipper, was married to Joseph Lovatt on Friday, 13 June 1755 at St. Margaret's Church, Draycott-le-Moors, Staffordshire.
     St. Margaret's Church Marriage Register Entry - "Entry #7 - Joseph Lovat of this Parish, Farmer and Mary Baddeley of the Parish of Cheadle, Spinster were married in this Church by Licence on 13 day of June 1755. Signed by Joseph Lovatt and Mary O Baddeley her Mark. In the Presence of John Lovatt and Wm. Latham."4
