     William Langford was born about 1811, No baptism or parentage for William has yet been found, though it may not be a coincidence that a John Langford was next door neighbour to Sarah's parents in Hanbury in 1840 (Hanbury Tithe Apportionment and on the 1841 Census).1


     William Langford was married to Sarah Tipper, daughter of James Tipper and Ann Wheeldon, about 1835.
     No record of this marriage has yet been found, and it is not known whether it was before or after the move to Birmingham..1

          The U.K.Census of 6 June 1841 listed him in the Household of John Savage, at Dove Lane, Rocester, Staffordshire, who is listed as -
