     St. Giles Church Baptismal Register Entry - "Richard, son of Richard and Mary Tipper, was baptised."1,2

     Richard Tipper was a Beneficiary of the Will of Richard Tipper written on 5 December 1737;      Richard Tipper, Husbandman of Cheadle wrote this Will and signed with his mark. (Executors were William Tipper and John Holmes).
     He bequethed as follows:
- "to my son William and my daughter Elizabeth - enough to make them up with what I have already given them to the value of £10 equally apiece";
- "to my son Daniel - the money due upon Mr Challoner's Bond";
- "to my son Richard, possession of the house, paying £5 to the estate a year after his mother Mary's death";
- "to my dearly beloved wife Mary, the use of the house and chattels for life";
- "the residue of the estate to be divided equally between my son William Tipper, my daughter Elizabeth Chapman, my son Daniel Tipper and George Baddeley's daughter Mary".3

     Richard Tipper, son of Richard Tipper and Mary, died in 1741.

     He was buried at St. Giles Church, Cheadle, Staffordshire, on Friday, 24 November 1741.
     Cemetery Register Entry - Richard Tipper was Buried (this could equally be his father.)1

     John Bishop was married to Sarah Tipper, daughter of Daniel Tipper and Mary Adams, on Monday, 26 November 1798 at St. Peter's Church, Caverswall, Staffordshire.
     St. Peter's Church Marriage Register - "Sarah Tipper of this parish was Married by Banns to John Bishop of this parish. (both marked, Banns read on 11/18/25 Nov. 1798)."1

          In the 1841 U.K.Census, held on Sunday, 6 June 1841, John was recorded as the first person in the Household at Cook's Hill, Caverswall, Staffordshire,
     also in the Household were Sarah Bishop and William Bishop,
