In the U.K.Census of 7 April 1861, Thomas was recorded as residing at Berkeley Street, Burton Extra, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire.
     Thomas's listing is -
Thomas (John) Tipper     Lodger     Unmarried     22     Labourer     Warwickshire (in the household of the Goodhead family).2 He was (an unknown value.)      He was Baptised on Sunday, 19 August 1838 in St. Werburgh's Church, Hanbury, Staffordshire .

The U.K.Census of 6 June 1841 listed him in the Household of Thomas Archer, at Coton (in the Clay), Hanbury, Staffordshire, who is listed as -
Thos. Archer     50     Joiner     Yes (Born in this County.)4

     Thomas's listing is -
Thomas Tipper     ---     ---     12     House Servant     STS. Coton (in the household of James Bullock, Farmer and his family).5

The entry for the 1861 Census, I believe, is wrongly entered by the enumerator. The entry shows that it was originally entered as "John Tipper", It is corrected with a strike through to "Thomas" and on the next line - the entry shows John and Born Warwickshire. I surmise that the enumerator, on turning the page, incorrectly entered Thomas' details.6

Thomas Tipper, son of John Tipper and Sarah Archer, was married to Anne Lowell in St. Michael's Church, Rocester, Staffordshire, in 1864.
Their Marriage was recorded in the Uttoxeter Registration District in the Jul-Aug-Sep Quarter of 1864.7
