     Church of St. Michael Marriage Register Entry - "Sarah Dale Holloway, 23, Servant, Spinster daughter of George Holloway, Labourer to James Baghurst, 23, Shoemaker, son of James Baghurst, Labourer. Witnessed by Ewd. & E. Baghurst."3      Whilst the following entry is correct in detail, it is difficult to understand why he is not staying with his wife who is only some 50 yards away, in Willow Row.

     In the U.K.Census of 30 March 1851, James was recorded as residing at 21 Sadler Gate, Derby, Derbyshire.
     James's listing is -
     Sergeant James Baghurst     Billeted     Married     28     Sergeant in Army     LEI. Netherseal (in the household of John Tunnicliff, Licenced Victualler, together with 2 other soldiers).4

     James Baghurst has not been located in the UK Census of 6 April 1861 nor in any subsequent Censuses.5

Petition for Divorce and Maintenance - Adultery coupled with Cruelty towards the Petitioner.
That the Plaintiff, Thomas Salter Holloway, Fish Merchant, struck Violet with his fist and kicked her; that he also commited Adultery with Annie Weston on three occasions.

     George Tipper, son of George Tipper and Elizabeth Hanson, was born in Staffordshire about 1765.3
     He was Baptised on Saturday, 9 November 1765 in St. Mary's Church, Tutbury, Staffordshire .

     (he is the only known George born between 1760 and 1797, and his mother is later buried in Scropton.)2

     George Tipper was married to Elizabeth Woodruff on Monday, 5 April 1790 at St. Michael's Church, Church Broughton, Derbyshire.3

     His mother, Elizabeth Tipper nee Hanson, died 1810 in Scropton, Derbyshire.5
