     Between 1867 and 1878 James & Emma were parents of at least two children in Aston.      James gives his birthplace as Horninglow on the Censuses - but there are no Burton Baptisms traced and it is quite feasible that Elizabeth went away for her illegitimate birth and returned to Hanbury for the Christening.
His birth dates are variable on the Censuses, placing his possible birth between 1783 & 1786; to counter these dates, there is interesting confirming evidence in that James Mosedale, probable stepfather of James, was witness to the marriage of James to Ann Wheeldon in 1808.⁴
