     All Saints Church Baptismal Register Entry - "John Tipper, son of Alice and Joseph Tipper, Joiner of Walker Lane, Derby, was baptised."2,3 John Tipper was age 22 years, Convicted of Assault on Peace Officer at Derby County Sessions, together with William Webster, 23 and Samuel Garratt, 22. Sentanced to 2 months imprisonment and Surities on 17 April 1838.4 He was age 23 years, found Not Guilty of Larceny at Stafford County Sessions on 2 July 1839.4

     St. Cuthbert's Church Marriage Register Entry - "After Banns being read at St. Mary's Church, Colton from 20 July 1777, John Tipper of Colton Parish and Hannah Thompson of Doveridge Parish were Married."5

     John Tipper, son of Thomas Tipper and Elizabeth Bathew, died in 1821, in Colton, Staffordshire, he was survived by his wife Hannah Tipper nee Tompson.5
