     John Henry Bull was a farm bailiff on Jersey and his job was to routinely deliver flowers, destined for England, to the boat and collect the funds.
In c1905, John Henry apparently "absconded from Jersey with some money and ended up in Canada", leaving Kate and their 6 young children on Jersey. Kate thought that he left for Australia or Canada and tried to trace her husband through the years.8

     Kate Bull worked as a cook at Ealing College to support her children and eventually was living with her daughters Dorothy and Lilian in their homes until sh died. She was reported to have been lovely and loved by her children and grandchildren.8

     Kate Bull has not been located in the UK Census of 2 April 1911.9

     St. James Church Marriage Register - "Entry #182 - William Henry Hore, aged 21 years, Bachelor, Goldsmith & Jeweller of 13 Cowper Street, son of George Hore, Warehouseman and Elizabeth Tipper, aged 21 years, Spinster of 13 Cowper Street, daughter of Thomas Tipper, Carpenter. By Banns. William Signed, Elizabeth marked. Witnessed by Thomas Tipper and June Tipper."6

     The 1871 U.K.Census listed her as the Wife of the Head of Household - William Henry Hore, at 15 Plumber Street, Shoreditch, London, who is recorded as -

     Elizabeth's entry for the 1871 Census was recorded as -
