     William Bull was born in Derbyshire about 1854, his stated place of Birth appears to change at each Census, St.Alkmund's Derby in 1861; Sutton on the Hill in 1881; no place in 1891 & in 1901/1911 he says he was born in Ch. Broughton.1


     In the U.K.Census of 2 April 1871, William was recorded as residing at The Hill House, Willington, Derbyshire.

     St. Andrew's Church Baptismal Register Entry - "Page 75, Entry #596 - William, son of Elizabeth and John Bull, a Labourer of Cubley, was Baptized Privately."2
